Work lifting injury claims
Our client was working for a company coating aircraft components when he developed a work related upper limb disorder as a result of repeated lifting and manoeuvring of heavy items.
He was responsible for lifting the components into a large bath, the side of which had a height of about 3 feet. He began to experience aching around his elbow which he thought would resolve itself. As the problem persisted he mentioned the problem to his supervisor but no changes were made to the system. The client’s symptoms became so painful that he had to take time off work, on his return he would have to carry out light duties. Smith Jones settled the clients claim for £4500.
