Spinal injury claim in UK workplace
Our client, a general labouring assistant, was working in the roof space of his employer’s workshop when his accident occurred. He was stepping over some ducting to get to the edge of the storage area when his foot went through the roof space floor and he fell approximately 12 feet into the workshop below.
He suffered a compression fracture of the 12th thoracic vertebrae and was left unable to work and restricted in future employment prospects. Following numerous medical examinations and a lengthy rehabilitation programme the client was awarded £73,000 compensation for his accident.
