Injury claim at work
The client we represented in this case worked as a machine operative in a large industrial firm. He was required to operate thread roller machines which were lubricated by way of an oil based liquid coolant. The client routinely came into contact with the liquid whilst working on the machine.
The claimant began noticing a rash which had developed on his finger and spread to the back of his hand. Following medical examination it was confirmed that the client was suffering from contact dermatitis and that it was caused by the liquid in question. The claim was settled in the sum of £13,000 to include financial losses that our client had incurred.
