Fatal Accident at Work
Smith Jones acted on behalf of the widow of a 46 year old man who died in an accident at work. Compensation was secured in the sum of £157,000.
The man was working on a building site and was killed in an accident involving a crane. We acted for his wife who successfully made a claim for funeral expenses, wages that would have been brought in by her husband and a claim for the work that her husband would have carried out at their property. This was a distressing case for all involved and following settlement of this case we acted on behalf of one of the deceased’s work colleagues who witnessed the accident and suffered from post traumatic stress.
