    APIL Member with over 20 years experience in personal injury work for claimants and defendants.

    Former Senior Partner of a Coventry based personal injury firm described in the Chambers Legal 500 as “the best mixed claimant/defendant personal injury firm in the Midlands”.  Since joining Smith Jones he has been pivotal in transforming the firm from a mixed general practice to a specialised Personal Injury & Litigation company.

  • Paul Smith, founding Partner, Qualified 1984

    Paul was a founding partner in Smith Jones (formerly known as Farnworths) in May 1988. He currently specialises in professional negligence and personal injury litigation and has recently recovered £825,000 for a client in a professional negligence claim.

  • Alec Graham, Senior Partner, Qualified 1977

    Alec joined Smith Jones in 1991 having worked at Berrymans, Lace, Mawer in Manchester then at Farnworth and Watson and Keoghs. He specialises in personal injury litigation, especially accidents at work. He also handles occupational disease claims, employment law matters and general civil litigation.

  • Dermot Woodhead, Partner, Qualified 1985

    In 1988 Dermot joined Smith Jones (then Farnworths) to head the Family Law department, having been a partner at Steele, Ford and Newton. More recently Dermot has specialised in personal injury law and is now recognised as an expert in this field of litigation.
