Occupational diseases: stress, asthma, industrial dermatitis, industrial deafness compensation

Whilst we all know the dangers of working with asbestos, heavy machinery and dangerous tools there are some injuries which go unnoticed and worsen over a period of time. Below are some of the most common occupational injuries we come across:

Asbestosis- A chronic (long-term) lung condition caused by prolonged exposure to asbestos

• Silicosis- A respiratory disease caused by inhaling silica dust
RSI- Caused by repeated overuse and injury to the muscles of the hands, wrists, arms or shoulders.
• Vibration white finger- Caused by the continuous use of vibrating hand-held machinery
• Industrial dermatitis
• Occupational stress
• Occupational Asthma
• Industrial deafness
