Burns can be caused by many different accidents. The most common are road traffic accidents, accidents at work or abroad and accidents in public places. Burns are usually caused by contact with hot substances/ surfaces and direct exposure to flames. However, they can also be caused by harsh chemicals, extreme weather exposure and electrical faults.
The severity of a burn is indicated by 3 categories, First, Second and Third degree burns.
With second and third degree burns it is likely that the skin will scar. Scarring and permanent disfigurement are difficult things to come to terms with. Not only are you left with a physical injury but many suffer greatly with the psychological impact of scarring.
Our solicitors are sensitive and understanding and although you can never be compensated emotionally for your injuries we can ensure that you are financially.
If you have a question regarding a Burn injury claim then you can contact us now. If you’re not sure whether you can make a claim then you can phone our free helpline number 0800 195 95 90 and we will help you work out what to do next.
