Accidents caused by Animals

The law surrounding accidents involving dangerous animals is complex.  Smith Jones are well practised in interpreting this law to achieve the best compensation for our clients.

Dog bite or attack

If you are caused an injury by an animal that should have been under the control of another, for example, a dog belonging to a fellow pedestrian, you are likely to have a claim. We have even acted successfully for an individual that was bitten by a police dog!

Horse-riding accident

Smith Jones are particularly experienced in dealing with Equestrian claims.

Equestrian claims are relatively common due to the high volume of accidents which occur in this environment and the severity of injuries a horse can inflict. If you have been involved in a horse riding accident or have been injured whilst handling a horse you may be entitled to claim for compensation.

If you have a question regarding an injury caused by an animalthen you can contact us now. If you’re not sure whether you can make a claim then you can phone our free accident advice helpline number 0800 0187 047 and we will help you work out what to do next.

Why not request a Smith Jones Accident Advice Line Card to carry in your wallet so we are there if you need our help with an animal related claim.
